Mark, love that TWiT intro – I think it’s perfect!
- Dorothy Yamamoto, avid TWIT listener
No wonder it sounds so good - they're real instruments! Thanks so much for doing that for us.

Mark these are perfect! Exactly what I needed. Thanks a bunch!

There are thousands of podcasts floating around on the internet, and most of them are not that good.
Many people will decide whether or not they want to keep listening to a show within less than a minute.
The easiest way to draw people in from the beginning is with a custom theme.
A theme song will make your podcast sound professional right from the start, and that will keep more people listening.
Look at the most popular podcast in the world, This Week in Tech.
Their theme (which we made for them) sets up the feel for the whole show.
When you hear that music you know what's coming next - a good time.
Without a theme all you have are a bunch of people hanging out and talking.
Add in that theme music and you have a show that people want to hear.
What many people do not realize is that it is illegal to use copyrighted music in your podcast unless you own the copyright.
The only way to include a theme in your podcast legally is to either make one yourself or have one made for you.
With a catchy original theme, people will have the music stuck in their head, and are much more likely to remember your podcast and recommend it to their friends.
Currently, Podcast Themes is run by 1 person: Mark Blasco. That's me, the one who wrote and recorded all of the music on this site. I know how hard it can be for someone who is not a musician to find affordable high quality audio production services. My goal with this site is to provide high quality custom recordings for people who do not have the resources to do it themselves.
We provide professional themes and audio production at affordable rates - sometimes even for free. If you were to go to a recording studio and ask for the same service, they would have to hire a composer, hire musicians, and spend hours recording and mixing everything. It may cost you $2000 for a simple theme song. We have all of the equipment and knowledge to do the same thing in house, keeping the costs way down. Our plans range from short simple themes to elaborate custom sound collections. We have plans starting at $50. That is less than the cost of going out to dinner, yet can dramatically increase the number of people who will listen to your show. We can even provide some themes for free.
Listen to some of our previous themes and take a look at our prices. You will see that we offer professional theme music for a fraction of what you would pay anywhere else.
For some reason a part of my database has been corrupted, so I will need to rebuild it. In the mean time, some of the samples and more recent news entries are missing. It shouldn't have changed or erased any of the audio content, but if you have trouble accessing one of your projects, please let me know so I can fix that as soon as possible.
There are a lot of new audio samples up on the audio pages. While I have been working on projects over the last few months, I have forgotten to update the website. Well, now there are some lovely new bits for you to check out.
Just posted is the new theme to the Linux Action Show - it has a rock superhero feel, and I really like this one. Check it out!
There is a new theme on the audio page. This one is for the Edgycation show.
There are two new themes up on the audio page, one for the wrestling podcast "Pinfall Recall", and the other for the late night television show "The Not So Late Show". Enjoy!
There haven't been any updates recently for several reasons: The first being the fact that I am moving soon, and that means the studio is moving as well, which is complicating things. The second reason is that I have been working on themes to license out, which will be offered soon. There are a couple of projects that are completed, however, and those will be up on the audio page soon.
Now online is the Motivation to Move theme song. This one is an upbeat motivational tune, that originally was supposed to be a mix of Leanne Rimes and Andrew W.K. Take a listen to see what came out of that mix.
